Below are a few things I've been involved in in various forms, there's more stuff I should add here when I get my shit together.

LE CHAOS FACTORY - STILL KICKING

I contributed some lo end rumbles to this track by Le chAos fActØrY, featuring some kids who I taught to play bass. If you're feeling uncomfotably normal today, I suggest you go get your mind twisted by some more of Le ChAos's visual and audio hallicunations:

DYLAN STOREY

When I'm in NZ if I often I play some bass with Dylan, one of New Zealands most criminally overlooked songwriters and a fantastic guitarist.

DAVE FOCKKER

Stoner sleaze rock from outer space, confounded by a series of double-agent saboteur drummers.

VISITING GHOSTS

This was a band I played guitar in a few years back. We had some good ideas but it never became the fearsome beast it should have been - might have got closer if we'd all been taking psychedlics or something. There a lot of bits I like in these tunes though we were too worried about getting clean recordings with not too many mistakes and that stopped us loosening up playing more together as a band, even though we put all the main parts down live it doesn't come across like that so much. And I was still working out how to play the guitar properly and how to get decent sounds, I got a bit better after we recorded this and then loads worse again after I wasn't playing 6 string in a band anymore.

PASH

Sometime last century I played bass in Auckland power pop trio Pash. We signed to Sony and they were supposed to make us rock stars, but then they didn't. There was lots of drinking and arguing, we did some fun stuff like support the Exponents for a 2 month summer tour, during which we flew back to Auckland for a day to play the Big Day Out, we played a rubgy stadium pre-match, supported Garbage and Ash, and did some other big shows ... yeah I know playing rugby matches is a bit dubious and would prefer to be able to say we'd supported Nirvana rather than Garbage, but it was all a great experience at the time. We liked to take the piss and lay on the cheese, we were never going to be a cool as fuck Flying Nun type band. I'd feel more wrong about the Sony thing if we'd sold lots of records and made them a bunch of money, but as it was we just burnt through a load of their cash on partying and recording and videos, so really that's a win. Thought I'd put these tunes here as I don't think they're available anywhere else on the web.

A N A R C H I S T W 0 O D

The world is yet to find out what Anarchistwood has in store for it, we haven't even yet decided ourselves whether to save it or just play with it as a cat does a mouse, so be nice to us.

As you read this we're starting on recording a new album to be released on high grade reverse-osmosis processed vinyl this spring, it will be the first Anarchistwood proper release to feature human sacrifice and the gorgeously ferocious Acid Panda.

In the meantime, take a listen to our latest offering, a 33 minute jam mash, ... or::: mixed at the labiatory by hoffman amok, as a triple hat trick to acid pandas 17th birthday, year of the tiger and the birth of flaming fires luther james ullin hambrecht... a cut up, audio extravaganza of anarchistwood jams and extra cheap trick electronica enhancement for your pleasure.
